Hmm... a more permanent records shop, huh. I've got a booth downstairs for whatever band's currently playing to use... but I'll rearrange the top floor for that. Good idea.
[Rei reaches out to ruffle Crow's hair, then strides towards the stairs.]
All right. Come on down. This is where you'll be spending most of your time, I'd imagine.
[The atmosphere of the basement floor is much more closed-in than the cafe one; without windows, the only lighting comes from the stage and floor like a proper live house venue. The extra stage lights themselves are currently roaming, their rotating patterns decorating the room with geometry wherever they land.]
Backstage is that way, but if you just wanna climb up there that's fine too. Let me know how it looks.
[ Crow beams as Rei ruffles his hair. He is full of good ideas, isn’t he?
He follows the producer down to the lower floor. Crow is impressed by set up and intimate setting. As an artist, he wants the audience’s eyes only on him. The lighting is great too, he looks the geometric shapes which gives off a more modern element.
The redhead doesn’t have to be told twice, he’s already jumping on stage to get a feel for it. He likes the platform is elevated and feels sturdy. He even pretends to wildly strum a guitar and points towards an invisible crowd. Yes, this is perfect!]
I can definitely convert some crimson souls up here!
[ Even if he had to share a stage there’s more than enough room for other people and musical equipment.]
"Crimson souls," is it. [Cute..... crow's stage persona sure is tightly-knit.]
Well, you look right at home. [Like a frog on a lilypad.] Stay there for just a second, will you?
[Rei disappears backstage. There's silence for some time; it would have been nice for Rei to explain what he was doing before he left, but... whatever.
Eventually the stage lights pause their rotations. It takes a few moments, but the colored light shifts to red; the geometric designs shut off suddenly, then turn back on as scattered feather shapes instead.
Over the intercom comes his voice:]
If it's "crimson souls," maybe something like this?
[ Crow obediently stays on stage, but he's curious about what Rei is up to. It would have been nice if the older man explained, but the vocalist also likes surprises too. It takes a few moments, but he notices there's a change with the stage lights. Instead of geometric shapes, there are now red feathers falling down.
A wide grin spreads on Crow's face. Oh hell yes! This will work for his set perfectly. Crow had trained his familiar to do a similar effect with their magic, but this works amazing too!]
Yes! We did something similar back home! This is perfect! What else can you do with those lights? Can you make the shadows of a dancing flame? Or maybe a strobe effect that's similar to a beating heart?
[Can Rei even hear him from wherever he is? Doesn't matter! Crow is brimming with ideas!]
